Story

Vinod Mehra is son of  Madan Puri. Madan Puri is a successful lawyer. Vinod Mehra Loves Rekha and wants to marry her.  Madan Puri disapproves Rekha. Vinod Mehra and Rekha marry. Both are very much in love and are enjoying each other’s company.

One night while returning from a late-night movie, they encounter an accident, four men assault Vinod Mehra, leaving him unconscious, and gang rape Rekha.  This incident makes headlines and changes the entire life of a lovely couple. Both Rekha and Vinod Mehra are continuously haunted by this incident. Rekha is so traumatized that she loses faith in all men and Vinod Mehra too.

Rekha and Vinod Mehra are very much disturbed and feel awkward with each other.

Their life is loveless. People too talk about the incident, which makes the situation worse.

A beautiful film with good songs should be watched, rather than told in a few words.

The story writer Dinesh Thakur won the Filmfare Award for  Best Story.

Rekha was nominated for Best Actress at the 1979 Filmfare Awards Function.
